Who we are

This website, inknoak.com, is operated by Johal Design Studio, an Ontario sole proprietorship doing business as Ink & Oak Studio ("we", "us"), Brampton, Ontario, Canada. By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms.

Personalized orders

You are responsible for the text, names, dates, photos and other details you enter. We engrave, illustrate or print exactly what you provide, including spelling, spacing and capitals. You confirm that you have the right to use any photo or content you send us, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. We may decline or cancel (with a full refund) any order whose content is offensive, unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.

Natural variation

Every piece is made individually. Wood grain, colour and engraving tone vary naturally from piece to piece and from the photos on the site; illustrations are our interpretation of the photo you send. These variations are not defects.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Canadian dollars unless shown otherwise and include personalization. Applicable sales taxes are calculated at checkout. We may correct pricing errors; if an error affects your order we'll contact you before it ships and you may cancel for a full refund.

Shipping, refunds and our guarantee

Our Shipping policy and Refund policy form part of these terms.

Your content and our work

You keep the rights to the photos and text you send. You let us use them only to make and deliver your order. The designs and illustrations we create remain our work; you may use your item and any digital copy we provide for personal use. We will never post your photos or personalization publicly without your permission.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
